2009 Remembrance Sunday

Remembrance Sunday

On Remembrance Sunday thirty three young men and twelve leaders join the Town parade to the service and Act of Remembrance at All Saints Church in Northampton. Our contingent was made up from the 7th, 11th, 21st, 22nd and 31st Northampton Companies. The Battalion Colour was carried by Alex Elworthy and a wreath was laid by Loyd Butcher both from 7th Northampton Company.

We were a part of the parade consisting of some four hundred, representing the Armed Services and Cadet groups, Civilian and other Youth Organisations. After the service we marched passed the Guildhall where Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Northamptonshire and the Mayor of Northampton took the salute.

The Battalion Office Bearers would like to thank all those young men for taking part on this important occasion.
